in order to be able to use things like Powerline we need to be able to use text settings (see attached screen shot) from iTerm2 like the one called "Use built-in Powerline glyphs". Even better for me personally would be an option where you can just import all settings from iTerm2 and make them default for the iTerm2 plugin.
