Issue with Variable Replacement in Connect With Options

When using connect with Options it appears that the token/variable replacement doesn't occur until latter. By that things like $Name$ which is different than connect using templates. We use $Name$ here in several places in our connections as we use Cyberark EPV, this makes it easier for user to duplicate and change the connections.
