Setting default syntax highlight for new terminals

Is it possible to configure a default settings for syntax highlighting in Terminals in Royal TS 6? I've been fiddeling with settings but I cant get it to work. I thought this was configured in Plugins -> Terminal -> Override -> Colors -> Text Highlighting -> Override, but when I add a bunch of regex and colors there, new terminals I create does not inherit those settings.

I would like to avoid creating terminal connections and later bulk edit them if possible.

Hi Erik,

this is possible via The Application Document > Default Settings:

Make sure to set the Active Plugin to "Rebex" and afterwards you should be able to change the Text Highlighting default settings:

I hope this helps!

Since you were using overrides, please check the help chapter which explains the use cases for those:

Thanks! That was exactly what I was looking for.

Is there support for this in the mac version?

Hi C,

yes, this is also possible in Royal TSX (macOS).

Here is an example of Highlighting the Username using triggers:

The username for the connection is "radmin", so it is highlighted in this case:

As our Terminal connection object is based on iTerm2, you can find the documentation regarding Triggers including "Send Text" and "Run Command" here:

I hope this helps!
