ESXi 7.0 WebUI Auto Fill

I'm trying to configure credential Auto Fill to the WebUI of an ESXi 7.0 server.

The app doesn't detect the fields correctly and nothing that I've tried works.

Anyone know which elements I need to specify?

I'm having the same issue on 6.7 aswell, The Auto-Fill just finds no elements

sorry that you are experiencing this behavior.


Would you please be able to share a screenshot of your web page object configuration? 

I'm asking, since the problem could occur, if an incorrect/invalid login URL is being used.

Hi Peter,


thanks for the information. 

I assumed that a redirection URL was being used, which was not the case, since you are using the full URL.


I will try to reproduce the issue in our lab and will get back to you, once I have more information to share.

Quick update: I've just been doing some further testing and I got the following elements from inspecting the web page:

  • input#username.margeTextInput.ng-pristine.ng-valid.ng-empty.ng-touched
  • input#password.margeTextInput.ng-pristine.ng-valid.ng-empty.ng-touched

... however, the following shortened elements also seem to work fine

  • input#username
  • input#password

Secondly, I've managed to get the auto-fill to "auto-trigger" reliably if I increase the delay to 800ms.
