In this case there's unfortunately not much we can do. If you can find another serial port connection client (maybe via homebrew) that works for you, you could integrate it into Royal TSX by creating a custom terminal connection.

we're using "screen" for serial port connections in Royal TSX. If there's a problem with the screen command which is shipped with macOS, there's not much we can do.

Can you please check if you can reproduce the issue when invoking screen manually inside Terminal.app?

what plugin are you using? Rebex or PuTTY? You could try to switch to the other plugin and see if it works better there.
