Hello Royal TS Community,

I’m encountering an issue with establishing an SFTP connection through a bastion host, and I could use some help.

Setup:

• I’m connecting to a remote machine via a bastion host.

• SSH works perfectly with the following configuration:

Computer Name: domain/ars-root/target-machine-ip@bastion-host-ip

Hello Royal TS Community,

I’m encountering an issue with establishing an SFTP connection through a bastion host, and I could use some help.

Setup:

• I’m connecting to a remote machine via a bastion host.

• SSH works perfectly with the following configuration:

Computer Name: adforest/ars-root/target-machine-ip@bastion-host-ip

• bastion-host-ip is the bastion host.

• target-machine-ip is the target machine.

• adforest is the domain.

• ars-root is the user on the target machine.

• I’ve set up the Proxy Settings in Royal TSX to use SOCKS5 with the IP address of the bastion host, specifically for the SFTP protocol, to try and resolve the issue.

Issue:

• When I try to connect using SFTP, it remains stuck on “Connecting” for a long time, and eventually, I receive the following error:

An error occurred while executing the action 'Connect'. Details: Hostname is invalid.

Parameter name: serverName

What I’ve Tried:

• I’ve verified that the SSH connection works without any issues.

• I’ve specifically configured the SOCKS5 proxy in the Proxy Settings for the SFTP protocol using the IP of the bastion host, but the connection still times out.

My Question:

How can I correctly configure SFTP in Royal TS to work with a bastion host? Is there something specific I need to adjust in the settings, or is there another method to ensure the connection doesn’t time out?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
