We created a new/better way to configure auto fill using the actual connection. Docs are not updated yet but essentially you just connect to your web page connection, enable Auto Fill Configuration in the Actions ribbon tab to show the new configuration UI. When you see the login page, click the first button to Scan the web page for elements. Then you can just hover over the login form elements and use the + icon to create a new auto fill configuration.
Would be great if you can test that feature and provide feedback.

I'm encountering difficulties with the Autofill feature when trying to configure it for an HTTPS connection through a Secure Gateway.
When attempting to set up Autofill parameters, I receive the following error message: "No elements were found for configured URL. Please make sure the URL is the actual URL to the page you want to fill the form (login page)" I understand that this is a known issue where the Autofill functionality doesn't work properly when a web connection is only accessible via a Secure Gateway.
This problem is known for a long time (see https://support.royalapps.com/support/discussions/topics/17000015932 )
It's particularly tedious to have to set up a direct connection (VPN for example) to finally be able to rely on the discovery of the web form.
Is it possible to include this request in the roadmap?
