Host status as an icon in the Navigation panel.

It would be really helpful to have a red/green icon shown against all the “Remote Desktop” items in the Navigation bar to show if the server is “up”.

If Royal TS could try to PING the host every minute, and display a red or green dot next to the item, it would help identify which host are “up” (ready to connect to).

I use Royal TS to manage all our servers, and when restarting hosts, it’s a lot of hassle to have to PING the hosts to see if they’ve restarted/ready to reconnect to.

Yes, it's very helpful to be able to verify the connection is alive.  Coming from mRemote that was a feature I really appreciated.

Hi!

thanks for the feedback/suggestion. I'm not sure if this would scale well when dealing with hundreds or even thousands of objects in a document. What we do have right now is the ability to keep remotely disconnected tabs open under View -> Options -> Behavior -> Tabs and Connections:

https://content.royalapplications.com/Help/RoyalTS/V5/index.html?reference_options_behavior.htm

In the Remote Desktop Plugin Settings, we have an option called "Auto Reconnect on Disconnected Tab"

https://content.royalapplications.com/Help/RoyalTS/V5/index.html?reference_remotedesktop.htm

With these two options, you can initiate a reboot from within the session and the tab is kept open and as soon as the connection is available again, it will connect automatically.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards,
Stefan
