RoyalTS accessing files added to KeePass Database

When i load a keepass database into RoyalTS i can access the passwords,

but i have also added some files like ssh keys into some entries. But they are unavailable when using RoyalTS

Hi Sascha,

you are right, file attachments are currently not supported when KeePass files are opened in Royal TS. I'm not sure if we are able to implement that in the near future but I will move this to the Ideas forum as a feature request.

Stefan

Hello,

Are there any updates or plans on this? I wonder if there are other options to open/import attachments (ssh keys) from Keepass file by RoyalTS?

KeePass is still using the old .NET framework 4.x and didn't migrate to the newer .NET (Core) framework yet (version 9 will be released in a couple of weeks). I'm afraid any deeper integration with KeePass will not be possible unless we can properly load their DLL(s) into our application but this requires them to use .NET core as well. We tried to load and use their DLL(s) in our process but this didn't work reliably, that's why we only have basic integration like we have now.

Thank you for the information. What about KeepassXC or other Keepass alternatives?

KeepassXC is a port using Qt/C++ which makes it even harder to implement. It would be nice if the KeePass authors would migrate to a more modern .NET version and even better, provide an SDK for easy integration/consumption.

The other question is, why would you like to stick to KeePass? Is there anything KeePass can do or do better than Royal TS?

Thank you for the quick response. The reason of Keepass usage is it is allowed by corporate IT. Also, as a password manager, it has featured like auto-fill (ctrl+v) as well as plugins (Keeagent for ssh). I know that you can secure royalts file with password. Perhaps, I can ask our IT department to review the app to check how it fits if you can provide some doc/spec about the encryption

I see. Thanks for letting me know. Maybe this information is what you are looking for:
