key sequence at connection

on linux to send some commands i need to - export DISPLAY=:0. i'm trying to make this so that when i connect to a terminal this key sequence is initiated. i've used triggers for things like passwords and such and i can make a trigger to send this key sequence on the "computer name" after it logs in, but that creates an endless loop because the computer name is always displayed once connected.

maybe trigger isn't the right way to do this, but i've been searching and can't find much help.

but to summarize: i just want export DISPLAY=:0 to key sequence once when i first connect so i know i'm always ready to start sending commands to my linux remote computer.

thanks
