if Windows Hello is configured on your machine you should see an option when prompted for the document password. Can you share a screenshot of your document password prompt and double-check if Windows Hello is configured on you box?

This would require using the Windows authentication mechanism as a form of encryption, but it could be useful for documents that are shared among a group of users, as you could tie access to AD permissions.
